Bigger Hair

There is a new section coming out in CafféLatté Magazine© called The AFRO Chronicle. It seems soon I will have to enlist contributors, there are so many sections... on a second thought maybe...

This is what the heading would look like, I tried a photoshop version, of the sub-heading graphic. I think I should put some more detail on the face, give it some dimension. Here comes the procrastination part: "I will do it later!"

My Finished Community

Sometime ago, I posted an image of a layout for a modern suburban community named  Contemporary Gardens. Most of the designs do not have much yard space, this is due to the fact that in Trinidad and Tobago, owning your own home has remained a dream, and may keep being a dream for most non-homeowners, much to the delight of landlords. And, with the rise in the cost of building materials, homes have become smaller and more compact, thus the need for efficient space design in a multi-story layout.

Contemporary Gardens, is a unique community. Each of the homes have their own layout and furniture design. One home has a pool in the centre of it, another has a corner pool. One of the homes has a 'sun roof' that illuminates the stairs, and I believe two of the homes are one bedroom, which is ideal for singles and couples with a pet, but no children (these days it is a fad).

If possible, I will explain one or two of the homes. If you want, you can let me know which of the homes interest you.

Almost Done

Sometimes when the creative block, become the creative snore, I simply defer to Google Sketchup or Illustrator. Sketchup, however, has been much more addictive, and I have been creatively satisfied by it, like an Aloe Juice addict. Usually, I do one home, or maybe three with details and unusual furniture, can you imagine 6 homes! In vivid detail down to the TV and kitchen sinks and cupboards, and don't forget the windows.

This is what the current project looks like:

As you see, I have one more plot to layout, that may take me 2 weeks depending on the details and if I want to design more furniture.

Never judge a book by its cover

Take a look at the guy in the video. He looks nothing like a radio personality, but his voice is on FIRE! its like he is awakening something in me to just listen to him. It would be great if someone just take him in, so that he has a real job!

I found out his name, its Ted Williams.





Turns out, he did get a job. Here is the video.
